Thomas E. "Tom" Jagger

94 years, passed away on June 23, 2025. Tom has joined Molly, his loving wife, of 65 years, in God’s Holy Kingdom. Tom was preceded in death by Molly, who passed away on Nov. 9, 2019; his son, James Jagger; brothers, John H. Jagger and James F. Jagger; son in law, David T. Travis; and his parents, Herb and Anne Jagger. Tom was born in Pueblo, Colo., on Dec. 5, 1930; and is survived by his brother and his wife, William (Angie) Jagger; sister-in-law, (James) Shirley Jagger; eight children, Tom (Linda), Anne, Marie (Jody), Joni, John, Maggie (Clifford), William and Bob (Vickie); 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Tom was a loving, good, generous and religious person. He adored Molly and his family, and was a loyal and contributing church and community member. He was active in Christ the King Catholic Church since 1959. Tom graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School, Regis University, Denver Colorado and Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Tom actively practiced law in Pueblo, Colo., for 55 years. He was admitted as an attorney and counselor to and did practice law in the Colorado State District and Appellate Courts, including the Colorado Supreme Court, Colorado Federal District Courts, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Tom served as city attorney for the City of Pueblo for 38 years. He represented the Pueblo Area Council of Governments, the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment, organized the Salt Creek Water and Sanitation District and the Blende Sanitation District, and was attorney for those entities for many years. Tom served the Pueblo community by being active in many organizations, such as: chairman of the Pueblo County Democratic Party; campaign director, board member and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pueblo Single Fund Plan Inc. (United Way of Pueblo County); member of the Board of Directors of Sacred Heart Home and Mt. Carmel Credit Union. Tom’s family has expressed their personal loss of Tom. A Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., with funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, both at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1708 Horseshoe Drive, Pueblo, CO, 81001. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of food or flowers, memorials may be made to the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo Foundation.
