Lottie Mae (Marra) Valencich

Lottie was born to Pete and Eva Marra in Trinidad, Colorado where she was raised, and spent her early married life. Her mother died when Lottie was four, she was subsequently raised by her father Pete Marra, grandmother Cescolini, uncles Pete and Frank Cescolini and aunt Mary Bonomi and Angie Cescolini. She Graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic High School and worked for the Red Cross in Trinidad. Lottie met the love of her life Fred Valencich, whom she was married to for 57 and a half wonderful years. Together they lived in several Colorado cities, Trinidad, Model-Pinon Canyon Booster Station, Lamar, Aurora and Pueblo twice. Her greatest joys were her family, spending time with friends and being connected to people. She enjoyed hosting and organizing parties large and small. She and Fred hosted many showers, birthday, graduation, anniversary, holidays, Friday night parties and the traditional Valencich Family Thanksgiving. A tradition she continued after Fred died. She often traveled with or to see family and friends. Traveling to all 48 contiguous United States, six times to Hawaii, cruised and visited Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Venezuela, New Zealand, and followed the Denver Broncos to Australia. She considered life a “Magic Carpet Ride”. Lottie loved the BRONCOS. She and Fred owned season tickets beginning in 1974 including two row one seats. Lottie and Fred only missed a home game to share the seats with family. They traveled to all the Bronco Super Bowls except Super Bowl 50. If she wasn’t at a game she watched it on TV. Lottie worked for Newberry’s in Pueblo, then for MCC Powers in Denver. Finally retiring at 86 years old with 33 plus years of services as Executive Secretary for the Pueblo Housing Authority. She felt she was blessed to be survived by daughters Marlene (Tom) Keithley, Debbie (Bill) Kotulock, grandchildren Rick (Carol) Keithley, Ashley (Drake Torres) Montoya, Aubrey (Erik Fanacht) Kotulock, great-grandchildren Tommy (Emily Bingham),Kaylin, and Spencer Keithley, Hayden, Parker,and Payton Montoya, Zavian and Achilles Torres, nephew Peter Marra and his children Andy Marra, Jennifer (Brian) Bolton, and many family on the Valencich side that she was very close to. She was preceded in death by husband Fred Valencich, parents Pete & Eva Marra, in-laws Anton & Frances Valencich, brother Andrew (Eunice)Marra, son-in-law Christopher Montoya, as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A family Celebration of Life was held and a private inurnment. May her name be written in gold in the ledger of God.
