Christopher Louis Flores

Christopher Louis Flores passed away on January 2, 2023, at his home in Fountain, Colorado. He was 34-years-old at the time of his passing. Christopher was loved by all and truly a bright light in everyone’s eyes. He was such a support and always helping his parents Jessica and Randy Flores with anything that they needed. Christopher obtained his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2012. After obtaining his degree, Christopher lived all over the state of Colorado and worked for The Advantage Group and Mesa Developmental Services. This took Christopher to Grand Junction, Colorado in 2015, where he lived for four years. He met his life partner Zachary Gearhart in 2016 and they later moved to Fountain to be closer to his family. Christopher continued his work in Social Work, working for The Resource Exchange as a Service Coordinator and later a Service Coordinator Supervisor. He loved working for the clients that they served and supporting them with the services that they needed. He was a great advocate for anyone. In August of 2021, Christopher and Zachary were blessed with meeting their nephew and son Lucas and were granted custody in August of 2022. Even though Christopher had health concerns and a long recovery, he was still a phenomenal father to Lucas. Christopher was always a giving individual, always helping his parents Jessica and Randy, supporting Zachary Gearhart with work and school, and being an amazing Nino to Zachary Flores. Christopher was family oriented and always a great friend to anyone. Christopher’s brother, Joshua, who he would support in anything he needed will miss his brother dearly. Christopher was great brother and Nino to Zachary Flores and would do anything for him and take him on many adventures. Christopher loved living his life to the fullest, whether that would be traveling, going to the state fair with his godson, going to Chile Fest, having game nights with friends, or just hanging out at home with Zachary Gearhart and Lucas Lee. Christopher loved cars, especially his Mustang and his Kia that had a turbo. Jessica always told him that he had a led foot. Christopher had a contagious laugh and always lit up any room that he would walk into. He was really looking forward to creating memories with Lucas and Zachary Gearhart, they were planning a trip to Florida this spring. Jessica and Randy Flores were such great parents and raised a beautiful son who really took anything on that came his way. Christopher will be missed by all of his family and his many friends. Christopher had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with anyone. He loved picking on his in laws, always picking on his cousin Ariah or his brother Josh. Christopher loved his dogs Arya and Avery but, has joined Sadie who was a huge part of his life. Come celebrate Christopher’s life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 9:30 am at Mt. Carmel church.
