Ralph Henry "Skeets" Prijatel Jr.

August 27, 1953 - December 1, 2021

Ralph Henry “Skeets” Prijatel Jr. 68, of Pueblo was born August 27, 1953, and passed away December 1, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Helen Prijatel, and numerous aunts, and uncles. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cindy; sons, Dustin (Shyla), and Dylan (Tiawna); grandchildren, Bryson, Brynnley, Brylynn, and Hope; sister, Francie (Burr); cousin who is like a brother, George; nephews, Trevor (Marcie), and Tyler (Shay); great-niece, Haley; sisters-in-law, Kandy (Dave), and Kathy (Tim); as well as very close cousins, extended family, friends, and neighbors. He will also be missed by his fur babies, Missy, and Jake. Ralph was an avid hunter and fisherman, and recently returned from an elk hunting trip with his sons. He retired with over 40 years of dedicated and hard-working service to the Union Pacific Railroad. Ralph was meticulous in all things; making sure everything was in order and in its place. He was meticulous even when it came to discipline, in the fact he was hard on himself and those around him to maintain organization and respect for yourself and others. Before the boys, Ralph would buy and flip cars with his cousins, George and Butch and once the boys were born, he got them started in on the tradition, with the full support of his wife Cindy. Today Dustin and Dylan still enjoy working on cars using the skills and knowledge their dad gave them. Ralph loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies, and was a great “grumpy” grandpa to every one of them. Ralph was a thoughtful, helpful, and selfless man. He was always willing and able to help his family or his friends no matter the job. Ralph loved being with his love, Cindy; he would take her any place she wanted to go just to be with her and make her happy. His boys describe him as their biggest back-up, he would have their back and give his full support to any decision they would make regardless of the outcome. He was also a great storyteller; he could make you interested in any topic with his incredible delivery. He was a great dog sitter to all the new family pups as well. Other family members have described Ralphs personality as “larger than life” and someone who “helped shape his family”. He definitely left a lasting impression on the hearts of his family and friends, and they will forever hold the amazing man, and memories in their hearts.
