Norma Iris Mateo-Gonzalez

November 21, 1951 - December 29, 2021

Norma Iris Mateo-Gonzalez, 70, was born November 21, 1951, in Coamo, Puerto Rico and went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2021. She is preceded in death by her brothers, David and Daniel. Norma is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Joanne (Geris K.) Makris, and Marysol (James) Quinones-Bane; grandchildren, Shanice, Alexis, Adam Jr., Adrian, Stephanie, Emily, Alexander and Yanil; great-grandchildren, Juliana “Desi”, Chloe, Ahkylis, and Yalyssa; she is also survived by her mother, Carmen Gonzalez; siblings, Ana Luz, Ana Maria, Elizabeth, Domingo, Carmen Milagros, Maria del Carmen, Miriam, Teresa, Hiram, Ruth, Eliat, Esther, and Noemi; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Norma worked in the food service industry. Norma was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her interests included crochet, cooking, crossword puzzles, gardening, and reading. The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Belmont Lodge Healthcare Center workers for the many years of care and compassion. Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because one loved is gone. At the family’s request, no public services will be held. Those we love can never be than a thought apart, for as long as there's a memory, they live on in our heart.
