In the early 1970’s Marilyn and her husband, Tony Ortiz moved to Walnut, CA where they raised their six children. She was a successful realtor for over 30 years and served her community as well as surrounding communities. In September of 1991 she went to work in the Planning Department at the City of Diamond Bar and in August 1998 she realized her dream of moving to the beautiful state of Colorado where she settled in her home with her partner, Carol, where they immediately began upgrading their home and planting her many gardens. Marilyn worked for the State of Colorado in District 3 courts system in Walsenburg, CO as a Jury Commissioner and Judicial Assistant until she retired in December of 2008. Upon her retirement she turned her attention to energy healing and the practice of NAET and offered her services to those in need of such healing. Throughout her life, Marilyn was a devoted and loving mother and partner and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She loved her dogs, loved camping and loved her home and garden. Her life’s mission was to help others which she did graciously and selflessly. We wish to give special thanks to the wonderful doctors and team members at Parkview who assisted Marilyn during her hospitalization and the very wonderful and dedicated nurses and caregivers of the Sangre de Cristo Hospice who cared for Marilyn in Pueblo and at her home.
