Leno Nogare, 84, of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2020. He was born on Sept. 2, 1935, in Gordon, Colo. Leno was preceded in death by his baby girl, MaryBeth; his parents, Emil and Erma Nogare; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fern and Margaret Bonicelli; and brother-in-law, August Amidei. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lorraine; his daughters, Deann (Jay) Sisson, Kelly Nogare, and Kendra (Russ) Drury; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Leno served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked as a supervisor in the service department of the Public Service Co. from which he retired in 1994. Leno and Lorraine enjoyed their business ventures including owning McGuires Malt Shop, Flying Floral Balloons, and last but not least Nogare’s Gymnastics Academy. Leno was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in their many activities. Each of his grandchildren remember getting picked up from school by grandpa and heading over to Taffy’s for some popcorn and a lemonade. He was fortunate enough to meet his two great grandchildren. Leno would never pass up the opportunity to go “up the hill” for some gambling in Cripple Creek. Leno was greatly loved and will be missed by many. A memorial funeral Mass for family and close friends, graveside blessing and reception to celebrate Leno will be held on his birthday Sept 2, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 9:45am. The service will be lived streamed on the Facebook page of St. Joseph’s church.
