Janet C Wisner departed this world on December 15th, 2016. Born May 13th, 1932 to parents Clarence W. and Minnie (Sufficoal) Vertrees of Pueblo, Colorado. Her husband of 42 years, Gene Wisner, passed away in 2012. Janet was preceded in death by her brother Mel Vertrees and sister-in-law Jean and her sister, Lois Marie Johnson. Janet graduated from Centennial High School in 1950 where she was active in Rifle Club and numerous clubs and organizations as well as 4-H. She won trips through 4-H. One was to Club Congress in Chicago and another Ft. Collins Conference where she held an office in the council. Her first job was as an Occupational Therapy Aide at Colorado State Hospital and was there for 13 years. Later she worked for Gene Spencer Construction in Ft. Collins and the Pioneer Construction Company in Pueblo, CO. She was married to Lynn Gerringer for 20 years and divorced in 1971. In 1971 she married Gene Wisner, moved to Stockton, MO in 1987 where both Gene and she had real estate broker’s licenses. She was Colorado State Fair Queen and a member of Past Queens Organization. She enjoyed riding, training and showing cutting horses throughout the state. She was also an officer in Colorado Cutting Horse Association. She enjoyed oil painting, crafts of all kinds and working. There will be no services.
