Edwin Russell Kiniry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Edwin Russel Kiniry, 96, passed away in Parker, Colorado, on Feb 27, 2022. Edwin was born in Pueblo, CO on Jan 30, 1926, and was the son of the late William Archibald Kiniry and Nettie M. Kiniry. Edwin was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Bessie Latka-Kiniry, Oct 18, 2017. Edwin is survived by his children, Nancy (Dan) Palmer, of Davenport, FL; Diane Kiniry (Bea Carelli), Pat (Jack) Hilbert, and Kathy (Gary) Culig, all of Parker, CO.; his brother, James Kiniry; and brother-in-law, Wayne Latka; both of Pueblo, CO.; six grand-children; and, nine great-grandchildren. Edwin was preceded by his daughter, Edie Leshall; brother, Walter Casey Kiniry; and three sisters, Clara May Jones, Velma Massarotti, and Irene Wilson. Edwin was a life member of B.P.O.E. 90 and was a retired employee of Tallman Oil Company. He was a proud member of the U.S. Navy where he served in the Pacific during World War II as a Navy boat pilot of a PA13-22 Landing Craft taking soldiers and supplies from sea to shore. Edwin’s hobbies included painting, wood work, arts/crafts and playing cribbage. However, his second love was flying where he was a member of the Pueblo Civil Air Patrol and the infamous Mickey Mouse Club. He will be remembered for his jokes, limericks, stories, and enduring laughter. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel.
