Sharon L. Clark

Sharon Lee Clark, 62, Pueblo, CO, passed away on January 6th, 2023. Sherry is survived by her parents, Russell and Patti, her sister Vicki Lefferdink (John), children Holly Laydon (Patrick) and Rusty McBee, and two beautiful granddaughters, Bella and Grey, whom she loved more than life itself. Sharon (Sherry to her friends and family) was born on April 2, 1960 to Russell and Patricia Smith in Nashville, TN. She spent the majority of her high school years in Star City, AR, where she loved to cheer, dance, and spend time goofing around with her friends. She was always very outgoing, and loved to participate in talent shows and beauty pageants. During her junior year, the family would move to Colorado. And even though she had to leave behind some of her best friends, Colorado would thereafter always be home. This is where she married Scott McBee and had her two lovely children. After graduating from McClave High School, she would go on to attend Otero Junior College and attain her nursing degree. As a registered Nurse, she spent most of her career working with the elderly in VA and other nursing homes, and also working in home health. As a caregiver, she knew she had truly found her calling. She was at her best when she was helping other people. She worked long hours and made many sacrifices during the Covid pandemic and the nursing shortages that followed, but when she wasn’t working long hours and double shifts, all she wanted to do was spend time with her grandkids. Swimming, nights at the drive-in, frequent trips to Sonic for sweet drinks (with extra ice, of course), and sitting at home watching movies. She did everything with those girls and was never happier in her life than when she was with them. They genuinely meant everything to her. She will be forever missed, and never forgotten. Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery on Friday, January 13th. Visitation is held from 9-11 am. Memorial from 11 am to 12 pm, and graveside services directly after the memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to an animal shelter or organization of your choice. Everyone who knew her knows how much she loved her animals, and we know that would make her smile.
