Sergeant Major Christopher Robles U S Army (Retired) Chris Robles, 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and lifetime Soldier, passed away August 16, 2024 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on May 27, 1959, to Manuel (Chuck) and Mary (Serna) Robles, Chris was the fifth of seven children. Chris married Diana Marie Robles (Martinez) on 21 May 1977 and welcomed two children, Alisha and Kristin and raised them while serving his country and moving throughout the world. Chris was known for doing the “right Thing” for the situation, and people. He decided to do the right thing just as those (Grandfather, Uncles and friends) before him and join the military, from Jul 1980 to July 2012, Chris served in the US Army for 32 years, retiring as Sergeant Major (E9), SGM Robles received numerous accolades, and awards during his career to include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and Combat Action Badge. Chris was an avid supporter /committee member and MC for the Pueblo Latino Veterans Profile in Courage for over 6 years, he was a member and officer of American legion post 203 Fraternal Order of Eagles Steel City Eagles Aerie 3367 and The Retired Enlisted Association (Member at large) and joined the Knights of Columbus while stationed in IRAQ. Preceded in death by his father, Manuel (Chuck); sisters, Theresa and Marlene; and daughter, Kristin Robles; uncle, (Mentor and Role Model) Wilbert (Joe) Serna; and father in-law, Jose Adolpho Martinez; brother in-law, Martin Lopez. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diana (Martinez)Robles; mother, Mary Robles; daughter, Alisha Robles (Tommy); daughter (granddaughter), Angelina V. Robles; grandsons, Nikolai Rodriguez (Landry), Diego Rodriguez (Haley); granddaughter, Eleanor “Nori” Garcia; great grandson, Gilo; sister, Becky Lopez; brother, Stanley (Frances) Robles; nephews, nieces, and aunt, uncles and relatives. A special thank you to beloved niece, Melissa (Adrien) Crespin; nephew, Bobby (Laura) Lopez; and friend/brother, David Martinez, Scott (Susie) Rinn, Antonio Serna, Ray Aranda, Vences Arellano and Javier Silva.
