Carrie Michelle Wilson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved wife, Carrie Michelle Wilson, age 47, of the Town of Rockvale, Colorado; she passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends at gatherings. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her wonderful smile and great heart. We should all remember that, she chose to live in joy. Carrie was born on November 26th, 1977, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Timothy Paul Bowie and Mary-France Bowie. In 2003, Carrie met Clint Wilson at the Cowboys Night Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she told many people she had met the love of her life and would one day marry him. On August 10th, 2013, Carrie married Clint in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Carrie and Clint were together for 21 years, building a loving and caring relationship. Their sense of humor and ability to communicate made their relationship strong. Carrie enjoyed riding on the back seat of Clint’s Harley, backing cheesecakes, reading, and spending time with her family, kids, and grandchildren. While working as the town clerk at the Town of Rockvale, Carrie completed her Municipal Clerk Certification. In 2024, she finished her Master's Degree in Psychology through Grand Canyon University. She was incredibly proud of her accomplishments in life but was always moving toward her professional certification. Despite setting the bar extremely high, she was able to leave a lasting standard for her children and grandchildren. Carrie was predeceased by Timothy Paul Bowie (Father), Paul C Bowie (Paternal Grandfather), Freda B Kobler (Paternal Grandmother), Buran S Matthews (Maternal Grandfather), Charlotte Courbi (Maternal Grandmother), Thomas E Dobry (Uncle), Roy Fredrick Bowie (Uncle), Samantha Paulette Andrews (Cousin), Lindsey Bowie Luchsinger (Cousin). Carrie is survived by Clint D. Wilson (Husband), Mary-France Bowie (Matthews) (Mother), Christian Michael Bowie (Brother), Amy Louise O’Connor (Bowie) (Sister-in-Law), David Bowie (Uncle), Denise Bowie (Aunt), Diana Bowie Eschelman (Aunt), Charlie Eshelman (Uncle), Amber Danielle Shipman (Wilson) (Daughter), Gary Shipman (Son-in-Law), Joshua Vernon Wilson (Son), Kristen Cox (Joshua - Girl Friend), Shaun Ryan Wilson (Son), Courtney Lynn Wilson (Daughter-in-Law), Kyle Jacob Koonce (Son), Kaila Jane Koonce (Daughter), Liam Timothy Bowie (Nephew), Nora Rose Bowie (Niece), Dustin Wilson (Grandson), Samuel Berke Shipman (Grandson), Justin Joe Shipman (Grandson), Esmeralda Grace Wilson (Solis) (Granddaughter), Caston Ryan Wilson (Grandson), Emmitt Vernon Wilson (Grandson), Ragnar Blayne Cox (Grandson), Kinsley Rylynne Wilson (Granddaughter), Cyson Cayde Cox (Grandson).
